Staci's love of
photography stems from her true passion - aviation.
Growing up near a small regional airport, she found
herself there daily watching the airplanes and dreaming of
flying them. Soon she began taking a camera (her
father's old manual SLR) and experimenting.
"The first picture I took that made me think of
photography as more than just snapshots was of a
helicopter at the EAA fly-in in Oshkosh, Wisconsin."
Her love
of aviation fed her wanderlust, and she's visited
many places both foreign and domestic. Most
recently, Staci and her husband Chris visited New
Zealand. Staci has always been interested in
computers - from early days of typing simple programs into
a Commodore VIC 20, to developing and publishing web
designs. She's
been shooting mostly digital since 2003 and earned her
Private Pilot's License the same day they adopted their
yellow lab puppy, Millen, in 2004.
Staci's skills include both PC and Macintosh systems,
digital and 35mm cameras, and black & white processing
and printing. She is familiar with Adobe
Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro,
Corel Photo Paint, Microsoft Excel, Word, Front Page,
and Expressions Web. Staci has been a volunteer
photographer for the local SPCA doing photos for the
biweekly "Adopt-a-Pet" page in the local paper and for
Petfinder.com. She enjoys travel photography,
aviation photography, and animal photography.
Staci has worked in a variety of environments from
financial institutions to a commuter airline.
Staci graduated from the University of South Carolina
Aiken with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a
Technology Art emphasis in December of
2007. |
